Bio
I am the Science Department Chair and the advisor for the BHS Chief Science Officers. My goal as a BHS teacher is to create academically engaging learning experiences for all of my students by exposing them to an environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and a passion for STEM. I am from Jones, AL and a proud alumnus of Billingsley High School. I currently hold a BS in Biology, MS in Biology Education, ED. S. in Teacher Leadership and a MS in Instructional Leadership. Prior to becoming an educator, I worked as a Medical Technologist and Quality Insurance Inspector in Chicago, Illinois. I have served on the External Review Team for schools' accreditation and coached several sports including robotics. As a trained Project Lead the Way Instructor, I hold the following certificates: Introduction to Engineering, Principles of Engineering and Digital Electronics. I have also taught Advanced Placement Biology.
